Wandana 2023
We have successfully hosting of the Wandana blessing ceremony for Leo District 306 A1. Events like these not only strengthen the bonds within the Leo community but also set the tone for a prosperous and impactful year ahead. By emphasizing the importance of seeking blessings, the ceremony underscores the commitment to holistic well-being and personal growth, which are essential for fostering a strong and resilient Leo community. The participation of more than 60 Leos highlights the enthusiasm and active engagement of the members, reflecting a shared dedication to the values and missions of the Leo District. Such events serve as a unifying platform, fostering a sense of camaraderie and mutual support among the members. Additionally, the ceremony’s location at the Kalutara Bhodi premises adds a spiritual dimension, fostering a sense of connectedness and grounding within the community.
This successful ceremony not only solidifies the unity within Leo District 306 A1 but also sets a positive example for future gatherings and events, emphasizing the importance of collaboration, service, and goodwill. It is through such initiatives that the Leo community can continue to thrive and make a meaningful impact, not only within the district but also in the broader context of the Leo community in Sri Lanka.
Area One
AREA ONE is the leadership camp that is organized annually by the Leo District 306 A1 to refine the leadership of Leos. 306 A1. The AREA ONE 2023 Annual Leadership Camp was organized with a new flare and adventure. The camp was held on the 30th of April and the 01st of May in Meemure, with the participation of over 100 Leos. The camp was organized by a steering Committee with bright Leos, involving Leo Lion Akila Buddhika as the chairman. The camp consisted of multiple vibrant activities to build leadership, fellowship, and team spirit, and further build new bonds, friendships, and memories.
Leo Multiple District Installation
Grand Leo Multiple District Installation on the 26th of August 2023, commencing at 9:00 AM onwards at the prestigious NADA Auditorium in Colombo 7. Witness the induction of 44 dedicated Leos into their respective roles, a celebration of leadership and commitment. The ceremony promises to be a spectacle of camaraderie, honor, and the collective spirit that defines Leoism. Be part of this momentous occasion, as the Multiple District ushers in a new era of service and leadership.
Alpha One
Alpha One Club Officer Workshop organized by Leo District 306 A1. This workshop serves as a crucial platform for Leos to refresh their knowledge and understanding of essential areas pertinent to effective club management. The comprehensive curriculum, covering various topics related to leadership, protocols, and club roles, indicates a strong commitment to fostering a well-informed and capable leadership within the Leo community. The involvement of experienced and knowledgeable speakers, including past district presidents and other esteemed individuals, adds significant value to the workshop, providing participants with insights and perspectives from seasoned leaders in the Leo community. With each session tailored to address specific aspects of club management, the workshop not only enhances the participants’ understanding but also equips them with the necessary skills to drive impactful initiatives within their respective clubs.
Genesis One
19th Annual District Installation, Genesis One, by the Leo District 306 A1, with a significant participation of 186 attendees. The presence of distinguished guests, including Lion Keerthi Gunawardhana MJF PMAF, the District Governor of Lions District 306 A1, adds prestige and significance to the event. The esteemed Guest of Honors, Lion Shyana Jayalath PMAF PFLM, Vice Council Chairperson of Lions Multiple District 306, Leo Lion Dulini Cooray PFLM, Leo Multiple District President of Leo Multiple District 306 Sri Lanka and Maldives, and Lion Dr. Priyanga Pupulewatta, the First Vice District Governor of Lions District 306 A1, further underscores the importance of the occasion. Such events not only serve as platforms to acknowledge and celebrate the achievements and contributions of the Leo community but also reinforce the spirit of collaboration and shared vision for the future. The presence of these esteemed personalities and leaders from both Lions and Leo communities signifies the strong bonds and support within the larger service organization, emphasizing a collective commitment to service and community development.
The 19th Annual District Installation, Genesis One, likely served as a momentous occasion to reflect on past accomplishments and set ambitious goals for the future. Sinhabhimani Charika
The annual Singhaabimani Charika parade, a vibrant display of cultural pride and community spirit, unfolds with grandeur from Kataragama to Colombo. Taking place from September 8th to 10th, 2023, this spectacle sees enthusiastic participation from the Leo District 306 A1 Leos and Lions. Commencing in Kataragama on the 8th, the procession moves through Matara to Galle on the 9th, culminating in an awe-inspiring march from Galle to Colombo on the 10th. The event encapsulates the rich tapestry of Sri Lankan traditions, showcasing unity and camaraderie. Participants, adorned in colorful regalia, breathe life into the streets, fostering a sense of collective identity. As the parade traverses cities, it not only celebrates cultural heritage but also strengthens the bonds among communities. Singhaabimani Charika stands as a testament to the collective spirit of the Leo District 306 A1 Leos and Lions, marking these dates as an annual celebration of heritage and togetherness.
